Animals have always been a part of my life.  I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, and
horses.  After high school, I attended college at the University of New Hampshire
for Small Animal Care.  I worked as a veterinary technician/pet groomer for a few
years and decided that it wasn't for me.  Pet grooming was what I enjoyed best.
My love of poodles first started nine years ago with the first poodle that I groomed
which was a black miniature.  I was fortunate to have the opportunity to own and
operate Tail Waggers Boutique, a grooming shop in Newmarket, NH.  I decided
that I needed a poodle to practice fancy trims on, so that is when I purchased my
standard poodle Tail Wagger's Mystique (Tiffany).   My business was growing
more than I ever expected.  Almost five years later, my son was born and we
decided it was best to move back home to be near our families.  It was one of the
hardest decisions in my life but one I do not regret for a second.  Shortly after
returning home, I started grooming for Crabapple Downs, a boarding/grooming
kennel in Colebrook, NH which was where I purchesed Tiffany.  At the time, she
was raising a few of each size of poodle and decided that the standards and large
miniatures were were her love.  After doing much research into genetics, the
poodle breed standard, and any other poodle books that I could get my hands on, I
was anxious to take on the responsibility of raising toy and small miniature
poodles.  Arlene has been my mentor and has taught me so much.  I appreciate the
opportunity to continue the lines that she has worked hard to establish.
